Laptop wont boot from battery

    Its a HP G6060EA less than 12 months old and running Vista, it wont boot while the battery is in situe even if its plugged into the mains.
    The power light comes on but the screen remains black for 10 seconds then the backlight comes on and shows a blinking cursor, the cursor blinks a few times before rebooting... over... and over... and over...
    As soon as the battery is removed it will boot fine, after which I can replace the battery and use as normal.
    Im stumped!

    sounds like a faulty battery

    if it's still under warrenty you should take it back.

    if not buy a new battery

    Ive contacted HP for return/repair just thought id post incase I missed something simple, you know how it is lol.
