When I connect my Dell Inspiron laptop to the LE40M87 over VGA I can't get it to fill the screen without distortion. The native resolution of the laptop (Dell 1300) is 1280x800. This is its maximum resolution.

I have tried different combinations of laptop screen resolutions and TV settings. The image can fill the screen horizontally AND vertically, but then is distorted. I want the Sammy to fill the screen vertically but preserve the aspect ratio.

    Any ideas? Many thanks!

go into advanced display settings and use extended desktop rather than mirror.
this does mean that the lcd is the primary display and the monitor therefore will just show desktop. you can drag windows on it to use it though.

    hope this helps
