I am doing soem pre-testing for a HTPC on my system. In the mean time, I have running a laptop through a Gefen 4x4x Matrix which will feed four different rooms and four different TVs (all 1080p).

When export the Video/Audtio from the computuer via an HDMI cable it looks as though it is showing up in 4:3 on my Sharp LC-22LS510UT 22" LCD TV.

I typically have to go to my AV Mode on the TV and choose "Stretch" to make it look correct.

Questions:
1) Is there something I should be doing on the computer end to optimize the video ouput?
2) Will I run into issues when feeding multiple TVs?

The user manual for the TV is here:
http://files.sharp.ca/Downloads/For...nuals/tel_man_LC19LS410UT_22_32LS510UT_OM.pdf

On page 42 of the manual in highlights a PC compatability table. Under HDMI is states that it supports the following:

VGA 640 x 480 31.469 kHz 60.000 Hz 25.175 MHz
SVGA 800 x 600 37.879 kHz 60.000 Hz 40.000 MHz
XGA 1024 x 768 48.363 kHz 60.000 Hz 65.000 MHz
WXGA 1280 x 768 47.712 kHz 60.000 Hz 85.500 MHz
1080P 1920 x 1080P 67.500 kHz 60.000 Hz 148.500 MHz
720P 1280 x 720P 45.000 kHz 60.000 Hz 74.250 MHz
1080i 1920 x 1080i 33.750 kHz 60.000 Hz 74.250 MHz
480P 720 x 480P 31.500 kHz 60.000 Hz 27.030 MHz
480i 720 x 480i 15.750 kHz 60.000 Hz 13.510 MHz

Thanks

One follow-up point as well. My laptop does not have a native HDMI port in it. I am converting the audio/video from the laptop to HDMI using a USB to HDMI converter which leaves the laptop and feeds my 4x4 matrix. I will eventually have a HTPC with a dedicated HDMI port in it.
