ive got a packard bell k5285 laptop. it came with 512mb memory. ive now got two 512mb memory sticks. ive taken the memory cover off the bottom and removed a 256mb memory stick and replaced it with the 512mb.
i cant find where the other stick goes. the packard bell website says it can take two 512 sticks. does anyone know where the second slot usualy is on laptops?

    :lease:

On every Dell I've ever took apart (approximately 100) the slots have been next to each other. You did read it right that it will take 2 x ... didn't you? Stupid question, but you never know

TBH I've not seen the Base Memory bit before, but from what you've found so far, it sounds like only 1 is upgradable... bit naff when you look at it :thumbsdow

May have another one underneath the keyboard, many laptops do. means undoing a few screws first though
