Laptop DVI output to plasma

    I am planning to buy a laptop computer with a dvi output (X800 ATI graphics card) does anyone know if this will allow connect to a dvi plasma input ie talk to one another particularly if the plasma needs HDCP to talk to the source.

    Hope someone can help

    HDCP isn't a requirement of a receiver, it's the sender that applies it. There should never be a situation where a non-HDCP source can't talk to a receiver simply because it isn't sending protected data.
