hi,

I'm looking at a laptop for my mum for under £400.

I've been looking at these:

Asus X5DIJ Laptop - Laptops at Ebuyer

ACER Aspire 5732Z buy online | Currys

HP G62-107SA buy online | Currys

Which of these would people recommend?

This first two look similar but the acer is cheaper but i have heard bad things about acer?

Also, the last one has a newer processor but less ram. Which would you say was more important.

Also, if theres any other laptops at this price please let me know.

Thanks for any help.

The HP with Core i3 is much better - you can always add more ram in future but 2GB is more than enough for Windows 7.

Its a trade-off between processor speed and ram, more ram choose asus, more processor choose HP. Since ram can be upgraded I recommend HP and upgade if you need to in the future.
P.S. The acer seems to have disappeared, the link goes to a list of refurbished laptops.
