Laptop bluray to Plasma

Looking for some advice on the settings i should use when connecting my laptop to my panasonic px80 to use the built in bluray player via hdmi.

The options i have to chose from are 1440 x 900, 1280 x 720, 1024 x 768 and 800 x 600. What would be best use? Also, there is no sign of selecting 24p, anyone know how to do so? Should i also switch it from 60 herts refresh rate to 50, or leave it at 60?

The PX80 is not full HD so the chances are that the closest match to the panels native res will be 1280x720. However try all the settings and see which one(s) look the best to you.
I would guess the laptop can't output 24p, so just stick to 60htz

The panel is 1024 x 768 so if you set it at that then the TV shouldn't have to do any scaling at all. As for 24p, I think the TV manages that itself depending on whether (as Mark says) the laptop will output at that
