Laptop and Monitor Help

Hi, having some issues with my new laptop!

I have it permanently docked to a monitor via HDMI. Just like my last laptop, when I pressed a button on my wireless keyboard, it woke the laptop up and came on the monitor.

However, now if I leave my laptop for a while I try to wake it from sleep, on my monitor it says ‘out of range’ or 'no signal'. If I put the laptop to sleep again via my keyboard, then wake it up again, after a few tries it works.

Anyone know how to resolve this please? I've turned hibernating off within command prompt and set windows to do nothing when closing the lid.

Thanks
