i had old laptops sitting in a cupboard, and before binnning them i took out their hard drives, so i have a 320gb and a 1tb drive i was looking to possibly make them to portable USB drives.
As they both contained a windows OS and i think a partition for recovery.
is this possible? if so how do i go about formatting them in order to take full advantage of their sizes?
is it matter for putting them in, then plugging to my new lap top then selecting full format?
i am looking at this or similar for the enclosures:
ORICO 2.5 inch USB 3.0 Hard Drive Disk HDD External Enclosure / Case for 9.5mm 7mm 2.5" SATA HDD and SSD, Tool-free HDD Installation Compatible With Windows 2000/Windows Me/Windows 98/ XP /Vista/ 7/ 8, Mac OS 9.1/10.8.4 above: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories
