Just seen this on the news - greenpeace chaining themselves to the part built cars!!
Seems a bit daft considering that Land Rovers are some of the few "SUV" type vehicles that actually have genuine functionality off the road.
yeah, but how many sold, actually have that functionality put to working use
Most of em should chain theirselves to the whales!
Why don't they chain themselves to a BMW 7 series or Mercedes S600, or a Rolls Phantom. Just as eco-unfriendly as any of Land Rover's products.
Utterly pointless IMO.
They should be castigating all car manufacturers into producing lighter, more fuel efficient cars and not just piggy backing onto the current anti-SUV campaign which seem to be organised by those that can't afford an SUV.
what the greenpeace d*ckheads seem to ignore is the fact that landrovers are in worldwide use by ecologists/wildlife scientists etc - the very people that greenpeace claim to support
they are also one of the very few vehicles able to get relief aid etc to people in need in the remotest parts of the world
and yes its another knock the 4x4/suv owners and yes i own one and have had v8 landrovers/range rovers
I dont get it, LR have been used for aid and consrvation for the last 50 years...
