I have an LG 44" DLP tv (don't remember the model number ATM) , and last night a message came up saying "Lamp temperature too high" and the orange light came on saying that it was overheating.

Are there any other causes of this besides not enough circulation in back of the tv? This is the first time it's done this. Granted, this past weekend I did put up a tapestry on the wall in back of the tv (not DIRECTLY in back though, there's still air flow) so maybe that kept it hot back there... but it wasn't until last night that it showed up, and I watched a movie Sunday with no problems.

I'll have had it 3 months on July 2nd, at which point the warranty for the lamp is up... so any help is appreciated!

    Thanks.

My pc ran 30c over its usual temp this weekend so I had to switch it off. Similarly there is a thread in the dvd section where a dvd player melted.

It had been postioned in direct sunlight. Needless to say it was no good afterwards.
