It was brilliant. I had seen it before.
Damn moving film about loss and loneliness. I think it had other depths I barely brushed against.
Liked the main interviews, a lot of insight I don't listen to commentaries but would have liked an interview with the director. Wasn't too keen on the Moorhead & Benson love-in (I really like some of their films especially
Resolution (which is an extra on Arrow's
Endless) but if it brings attention to the film that's good.
Transfer was fantastic makes the Germany Blu-ray look like a DVD. That's heading to the charity shop.
Disc plays on a Region A setup.
9/10 for the film and 9/10 to Second Sight.
On a side note, hated
The Babadook (just silly and very poorly made -Lake Mungo's production is meticulous). It's lazy to say this is a '
found footage film' film too although I can see why many people use that term and maybe that's why it did so poorly on release.
If I were working in EIV's promo department I'd have "
TWIN PEAKS MEETS PICNIC AT HANGING ROCK" on the cover. Shame on EIV.
