Lafayette LFDV969 ........... ?

I went to the Bristol show today (Sunday) and paid a little visit to Lafayette. Now, the plasma screen with their name on it looked CRAP, but the DVD players 'looked' like they might be good machines for the money. Take the LFDV969 for instance, apparently it plays DivX Mpeg4's, DVD Audio discs, SVCD's and has component progressive scan in PAL and NTSC. Those are a lot of specs. The build quality seemed OK and they had some quite attractive (gimmicky I know!!!!) neon lighting going on.
Has anyone taken the plunge with one of these. I personally would have bought one at that price if only I could have seen what pictures/audio they produced, but there was no chance of that on their terrible screen!!:D

i can barely pronounce the namre letaloone consider buyng into it!!!
