Lack of Bass output to Sub when playing CD & SACD

I have recently hooked up a Denon DVD1930 with a Denon AVR1507 and a KEF 3005ht speaker system. The bass signal going to the Sub is great for DVD & DVD-A. However, it is barely noticable when I play CD or SACD. I have boosted the volume to no avail. Any ideas would be much appreciated. It is a beautiful set up for the price.

Does the 1930 have the option to output a stereo signal and a LFE signal together?
On my 2930 I had to fiddle around with the settings to get sub support with stereo.
