A few of us bought a Dell Vostro 1500 this week, but it appears that the free delivery offer is no longer, meaning the laptop would cost £352. However, I have heard of people on here phoning Dell up directly to order and asking for, and getting, the delivery fee waived... :) http://www.hotukdeals.com/search?action=search&keywords=dell&x=42&y=13&page=2 ... Scroll down the page to the offer priced at £316.08.

Have you seen the Asus EEE PC? Compact, around £200 new, can install Win XP on it. Not used myself but am looking into getting one. Sounds like it has everything you require at a lower-price.
