NO WAY! Coooool. :D
I have this, but my nephew is always asking to borrow. At that price, I can buy him his own, and if it gets scratched to bits no big loss. Ideal! Cheers! :)

I was about to buy this, but then noticed that there is a new special edition version being released this month (which is why HMV are selling them cheap I suppose).

be carefull with hmv.co.uk

i ordered a box set in the sale on boxing day, within a week i received an email saying sorry but we are having difficulty stocking more of these box sets.

o.k. order cancelled, so went and ordered from splash, great even cheaper.

now 3 months later my bank account is charged for this boxset, and when i phoned them they told me that they do not cancel the orders, they are left on the the system for 6 months and are processed when stock has been made available.

was never mentioned in email back in december, and impression passed from email was that the order was canceled.

anybody else had this problem ?

Tonnes left at the Blackpool store - also Simpsons boxsets now down even further to £17.99 each (still can't beat online competitors though).

The £17.99 is probably for the new collector edition although as far as a can tell from Play.com the special features on it are identical to the version I brought back in 1999, just a new package design.

They sold out of the £3.99 versions at my local HMV the first week of the sale. They do have some at £19.99, and some at £12.99 though - I asked the guy behind the counter and he said that the £12.99 ones were identical to the £3.99 ones, but they were not allowed to sell them for £3.99 because of their quota system! (ie they were only allowed to sell a certain percentage of them at sale price)
