was thinking the same actually... mind you, having read the whole story, it appears she hasn't done any research at all...
She seems to fail to realise that she will pay the higher rate only above 150k, and if she has any half decent accountant, then why is she paying NI on that any way?

And as for France having lower taxes....! I think that she will find just about everywhere in the world will have higher taxes for some time unless she fancies moving to china?

To be fair, she thinks that bed sheets with skidmarks on and bloodstained knickers are 'Art'. She can't be firing on all cylinders.

Shouldn't she have 'someone to look after her'? :D

the sort of money she earns why not move to the isle of man or Monaco

I love that she does things like this, people pay 100s of thousands for the crap she makes, basically she parting the terminally stupid from there cash, im sure she wakes up in the morning and goes, if i plant a toothbrush in a plant pot some numpty will give me 50k, good on her :)

Don't know much about her but I imagine that in common with a lot of artists, musicians, actors, that work was very scarce before she got her big break.

And before that break she was living of the state - and now she has had the break and earning money she doesn't want to contribute to the country in recognition of all the support she has received from it in the past.

I don't know this for fact, but just my perception of many media\art types in general.

Cheers,

Nigel

A bit like JK Rowling, she wrote Harry Potter whille she was on the dole.
That's working and claiming! String her up! :D

(No idea if JKR is still resident in the UK for tax purposes.)

I thought about JKR but then whilst I don't doubt she is doing tax evasion I suspect she has paid or her work has resulted in the payment of £Ms in taxes - much, much more than she took.

Not sure I could say the same about the subject of this thread though.

Cheers,

Nigel
