    Hi,

Watch this earlier today, and boy is it brillant. It had me in tears, it is so funny, and the action is like oh my god.

The Landlandy is superb, the lions roar!. The dts is amazing. Great follow up to Shaolin Soccer. Worth the wait, oh yes. 10/10

Just finished watcing it myself this morning too. Great effects and some funny moments. At times when the gags were more audible its difficult, from a timing perspective, to get the joke while reading subtitles. But yeah great flick, Im just sorry I didnt buy the limited edition one, with the Buddha Palm

Ordered this from cd-wow the other day on a whim (their must-own dvd recommendations are ususally pretty good).

Look forward to lots of silly Shaolin Soccer type antics!

No-one will be disappointed with this film. It is truly awesome. Great comedy, great "Fu"!!!!
I ordered the limited version from dddhouse and even got a kung fu hustle watch!
Shame the disc is near enough bare bones and doesn't have the previously annouced extras (deleted scenes, out-takes, trailers). But it is the uncut version containing more violence and blood than the cinema version I saw.
I recommend this film to everyone.

Not sure if the pic is any better between the 3?, but if there is no english subs on the extras, then 2 or 3 disk version for me are waste of time. Unless you really want the palm (quite nice) and photos etc from the LE version, but you have to find space to put these boxsets somewhere too!, the single disc should be fine. I got mine from cd-wow and its cheaper.

Cheers, just ordered the single disk.

The palm looks cool but haven't got any room for it!

Watched it yesterday - lots of silly fun a la shoalin soccer. Pity its a little too violent/bloody for the kids to watch.

Let us know what Arahan is like....

My copy form cdwow seems to have all three

    Cantonese 5.1

    Cantonese dts

    Mandarin 5.1,

now i dont know if the Madarin is the same as the Cantonese (ie spoken language on the dvd), but both are 5.1, ie the rears have background sound/music.

Are you saying you only two 2 tracks on your dvd?, if you do, then its not right, return it.

And of course the dts, well its just loud.

Can someone check their dvd for 'Dallas', please too confirm?.

    .........

Arahan........, i was disapointed with it, something was missing, maybe after watching 'hustle", most films will have to do a lot better.

    Hi

Mandarin is a different language - the one they used for the China release.

    Mine had the

    Cantonese 5.1

    Cantonese dts

    Mandarin 5.1

    and played fine.

I got the Kung Fu Hustle Limited Edition for only $74.99 at Sensasian.com

    http://sensasian.com/cgi-bin/sensasian.storefront/EN/product/V10636-D

They have the other versions too and I understand the disc is the same without the extras:

    Signature Limited Edition

    http://sensasian.com/cgi-bin/sensasian.storefront/EN/product/V10326-D

    Regular DTS Edition

    http://sensasian.com/cgi-bin/sensasian.storefront/EN/product/V10635-D

Their prices for the Limited Edition with the easter eggs and the whole kaboodle is probably the cheapest on the net.

    Hope this helps.

According to info posted at asiandvdguide forums..
ERA have made a small cock up with Kung fu Hustle - There has been confirmation that they have "accidentally" placed in the Malaysian dvd's within several Hong Kong dvd releases of Kung Fu Hustle.

So, whoever gets the Malay disc instead of the Hong Kong as they were supposed to, are advised to request an exchange with the folks at ERA.

Of course we wont be able to get a replacement from ERA as we dont live in HK BUT Cdwow should be able to sort it out for you.
Have a look at the link to the forum Here As they have posted up a image of the menu of the Malaysian dvd, so you can see if yours need replacing or note - Theres nothing wrong with the picture or sound quality compared to the HK dvd, its just the Lang tracks and subs are different. So i'm note bothered about a replacement for mine.
