    Hi I need a 8ft electric screen,

Snag is I need it very soon. Her in doors is in a good mood, so she will let me get one (for now). You know how they change their minds!
Any joy on this power buy of yours?

Not going very well TBH :(

I had everything arranged for this months ago but admin wasn't happy with warranties etc...

Thought it would be just as easy to organise this time round - how mistaken I was...

Company I was dealing with before has changed hands/merged with another bigger company & the only guy I conversed with (he had good english) isn't back till next week :(

Tried a few other companies on the continent but between the language difficulties & hassles with registration etc... proving to be extremely difficult.

I can update the original thread with prices, but they'll be proposed - just proposed. Last thing I'm going to do is make promises/comittments I cannot keep.

On a side note, electric screens could (will) be more difficult - warranyy issues. Manual screens are extremely unlikely to break (as are electric I suppose :) ).

I'll update the original thread now....

Personally, I'd go for an Owl screen. As flat as tab tensioned (like a sheet of glass) for less money.

i was going to get an Owl. But they are a lot more expensive. £762 for a 8ft electric tab tensioned from Nexnix and £999 for an 8ft Owl electric from AVS.
Do you know anyone cheaper to tempt me.

    Cheers
    Jack

Well, I didn't pay that much for mine but I do believe you get what you pay for. Sounds a good price for tab tensioned. In fact sounds too cheap :)

Nexnix have dabbled in selling Draper screens and others and told me they had a lot of hassle with them with rippling.

Looks like they realised there was a market for decent screens and used their experience to make their own as they have control over the quality.

Making it themselves and also cutting out all the middle men means they can sell at a decent price which as we all know Nexnix is good for.

As they have a renowned customer service reputation, I wouldn't be too worried about buying their screens.

    Cheers,
    Cal.
