I've been playing this game solid since i received it on Thursday Morning.

I have not noticed anything out of the ordinary whilst playing this game.

    I don't buy it.

    Strangely,

This evening my xbox has gone tits up.

After turning it on i get a message saying it has to go to service centre for fault and to contact microsoft.

It has been working perfectly well, and i have put KOTOR on it today and suddenly it has broke.....highly suspicious.

From what I've seen of it so far I'd say so. It's got me engrossed in it and I can't say that about many offline games I've owned just lately! Bit disappointed with the graphics mind, jaggies galore, think it would look a lot nicer in progressive scan.

    Cheers,
    Andy.

I kept my X-Box on the hope that this game was going to be decent, otherwise I was going to dump the X-Box.

Luckily enough this game is one of the best games i've played on any system in quite some time.

    Fantastic!

Only hope their is going to be a sequel, otherwise once this is finished there is no other game coming out in the future that is of any interest to me.

I though kotor promises downloaded content, new levels and characters, etc, so worth keeping.

Halo 2 is out next year as is Ninja Gaiden, Shenmue 3, Project Gotham Racing 2, and many others.
I wonder why you purchased an xbox if you don't love halo, or look forward to halo 2??

I bought the X-Box on the strength of magazine reviews of HALO, when i actually got the game though, I found it to be boring, repetative, and bland.

Admittedly I am not a fan of FPS, but thought this game might change that. It didn't

The graffics were also rather jerky.

I won't be buying Halo2. Shenmue and Shenmue 2 I had on Dreamcast and found these also overated, so very much doubt Shenmue 3 will change that.

    Ninja Gaiden looks interesting!!

Is it possible that you are playing a UK (PAL) edition of HALO, but with your dashboard set-up to allow 60Hz?

I believe Halo is one of the few PAL games that has been optimised to run better at 50Hz, but with the downside that it is very jerky at 60Hz. You'd need to disable that option in the dashboard to get smooth graphics.

Then i suppose you're not looking forward to doom III then??

unless you have a supercomputer or a pc with a 10gig processor and a 256mb graphics card to allow the game to run smoothly on pc??? lol

is half-life 2 coming out on xbox???

I want doom 3 because it really looks like a leap in graphics compared to many other games i've seen.

For me at least, games haven't changed a huge deal since ps1. Yes ok the graphics are nicer, but the jump between 16 bit consoles and 32 bit consoles was huge.

I'd love to see a game that can make my jaw drop in the way Ridge Racer and Tekken did all those years ago :)

How can half-life 2 be a launch title for xbox 2 and ps3 if its coming out on xbox???

doesn't make much sense to me as the xbox 2 and ps3 will be backwards compatible.

I can't imagine with the xbox's limited architecture that doom 3 or half-life 2 will look as great as the pc version, but i imagine they will run much smoother and look better than on 90% of pcs :)

including mine, which by then will be pants
