Steamboy sounds good, but I have read mixed reviews, and I can't make my mind up about it, and I didn't really like Akira.

I weren't too keen on Akira either but enjoyed Steamboy. I found it a bit more accessible to Brits like me who can't be bothered with lots of artistic subplot and metaphor. (It's probably there anyway but to me didn't confuse or slow the pace of the film)

And weather you like the film or not, the box set is truely wonderful. See this thread for picture proof:

Totally diffrent styles. Akira is manga style where as Steamboy is anime. The boxset which i got from pay with the £5 off voucher :) is exellent value for money. The movie is not the best i have seen but its not bad either.

Decided to get Steamboy, there were only 2 left so I had to make a decision fast.

Don't worry, you made a good choice there. :smashin:

Arrived today... what a huge box! Funny but my receipt says £5.93, + vat + packaging. £8.43

Not bothered about vat, and packaging, but the first price is lower than stated.
