    Got a 32" kogan tv.

sound is fine, but the screen shows all lines (see picture) the lines move when there is a different image on the screen.

There is no physical damage on the tv at all, just one day switched it on and go this.

Could this be the invertor board doing this or would a new screen be needed?

also to add OSD menus will not show over these lines.
have tried freeview and bluray player, both show the same idea (maybe different colours)

Noting this is a bit more of a technical diagnosis question and I am by no means qualified ....
My understanding is that an inverter board is for CCFL lighting. So question one is maybe the model of the TV and does it have CCFL back lighting? If it does the display in your photo could be showing a failed inverter board - or it may be something else. A professional may want to see the TV itself to diagnose and repair
