Dead Tree by AMcUK, on Flickr
My first competition entry
Taken on Sunday 21st on a walk I spotted a really old tree that had split and hollowed.
Camera is my trusty Pentax K100D DSLR using an old manual Sigma Zoom BII 60-200mm 1:4 -5.6
F-Stop F/4
Shutter Speed 1/2500
ISO 200
Metering mode: Centre Weighted Average
Auto White Balance
The Exif data looks correct but the focal length isn't captured (due to the vintage lens) it was shot at the maximum zoom (200mm) on a crop sensor I don't know what the 35mm equivalent is.
Picture was cropped down, unsharp mask, a gentle contrast boost and a slight vignette added using GIMP 2.8.2 (which I'm just learning).
Any comments welcome
