Question Klipsch ProMedia 5.1 THX died - What now?

Novice Member
Hi. Not sure this is the right Forum but here it goes.

Subwoofer of my 20-year old Klipsch ProMedia 5.1 THX died and cannot find anyone able / willing to repair it, so now am left with the 5 passive speakers in perfect working order plus a pair of Vogel's stands. And listening to music from my PC via headphones only...

Options seem to be to either a) sell the lot and maybe buy a pair of active monitor speakers (up to 200€, tops!) or b) try to do something with the Klipsch passive speakers (loved their sound!), likely a 2.0 arrangement for now and later add a sub if needed.

Upon a lot of web surfing, considering buying the Chinese Nobsound HiFi TPA3116D2 (Amazon product), tiny box with lots of promises but reading through the forums and reviews sounds like there are reliability issues and am not really keen to ship stuff back & forth to eventually have to chase a refund and get back to square one!

Grateful if anyone can comment on the options listed, share their experience with the Nobsound, suggest alternative set-up / kit options, etc.

PC connectivity (3.5mm from on-board soundcard), hi-fi sound quality for music (alternative, chill, classical, dance, electronic, jazz, pop, r&b, rock) and price (up to 200€, tops!) are key decision drivers.

Many thanks!
