According to this CNet report the MPAA is going after Sigma and MediaTek for selling chips that allow DVD players provide external digital connections devoid of Hollywood's customer-hostile Digital Restrictions Management.

Say bye bye to popular DVD players using these chipsets such as KiSS, Momitsu, Samsing etc. which also can play DivX and other non-MPEG2 formats.

How soon I wonder before they sue all DVD player suppliers who provide a means to make their players region free, because that too is in breach of the CCA's rules AIUI?
