1.09.352 for me after a good few laps last night.

    Top time atm is 1.07.477

    Tricky but fun little combo.

Expect to be doing 1.14s till you get used to gearing for corners. I think you can take the first down hill section in 4th flat out with no lifting if you get it right.

What time do we have to beat?

Just did a 1.20, 1.14, 1.13, 1.12, then lost concentration and binned it, certainly more time to be had in the breaking down to the chicane but not too much more for me.

Do you use 3rd for the first right up hill or cab you keep it in 4th if you are smooth enough ?

4th gear Is fine for the other side of the hill

Hmm, 1.11.5, I can't match your smoothness on my pad, I keep loosing the back and scrubbing speed, there is not one corner I can match you on.

    Takes ball, goes home.

1.11.5 just puts me in the top 4000,woo!

Deffo one for the wheel Matt. Good effort.

I think the whole lap is done in 3rd and 4th. 3rd for the uphill chicanes after the long straight rest is 4th.

Hoping for a sub 1:10 but judging by times around my club that might be tough.

I finished last night around the 10.6s. Found loads of time taking final chicane in fourth so that sub-10 might be in me yet.

Earned good credits for an auction house sesh. Purchased an SSC last night for 180k. Which was nice.

1.09.083 after another 30 laps. really, really tedious and boring but it has a bad case of 'just 1 more lap....'

I'm about a second shy of your time. I know I can at least equal it as the first corner is where I'm losing time. It's a case of getting a smooth line around there as the car has a tendency to get unsettled and tank slap quite readily.

I swapped down into third before turning in for turn one up until the top of the hill then looked to get into 4th turning left back down the hill on the other side. I couldn't take enough speed of and turn in smooth enough in fourth on the first corner.

there is also a lot of time to gain on the chicane but again as it was towards the end of the lap I was less inclined to push it for the extra seconds as I kept missing the apex.

Brake very early for the first turn and take it in 4th, if the car starts getting unsettled ease off the throttle very slightly but not fully, also i have been easing off throttle over the rumble strips.

going up the hill flat out, again in 4th, you need to be looking to carry 95mph+

i have not watched the no.1 replay though, so i dont know what they do on the lap.

early and long/small breaking into the turn in point or early hard breaks, lift off and give more time to turn in?

might have to have another go on this...

early on the brakes, coast round the corner after you first turn in then power through when you reckon the car is settled.

(edit - easier to do than explain!)

    If you're doing 86+mph you're on a good one.

turn in at 86? or 86 at the top of the hill? Previously I was just about topping out 3rd gear at the top which let me use a lift off to aid breaking whilst navigating the top chicane before selecting 4th to power down hill into the long right hander

There's a section round the first turn where the car bogs down a little and the speed stabilises for a few seconds. Thats where you need it to be 86+mph to be on a good lap.

Best i've done up the hill onto the long straight is 97mph i think. Amazing how the car stick round that turn when you get the line right.

It was a Ferrari 360 CS i think. They havent been sent out yet.

Unfortunately, i already have the unicorn on offer this time. ('69 Camaro SS)

Still worth entering, these events are a money pit if you need credits. Just keep selecting the player that immediately above you and slow down before the finish line if you happen to find yourself way ahead.

How do you find out what time you have to beat? I've had a look in the game and can't see his time anywhere? Might be obvious but I only got the game yesterday, loving it so far.

Just been doing the reasonably priced car, think I've clocked about 1.44.5XX or similar, if thats ok

Does it annoy anyone else that when they (Turn 10) send you a message in-game about these challenges, they never mention what time you have to actually beat? They direct you to the Forza 4 forums and tell you to look there, which meants leaving the console, firing up the PC and then its all full of posts with peeps asking exactly the same question "what time do I have to beat?".

You then somehow get some new info and have to go to Facebook to find out. Honestly, anyone else pull there hair out with these? Why is it so bloody difficult to put the time in the message?

Would mention this on the official Forza forums, but I don't think Turn 10 bother with them!
