Good luck. Go into watching the movie thinking it will be rubbish, and then you will be suprised.

Some online retailers, Axel Music and MovieTyme to name a couple, have shipped it early.

There could very well be an extended edition.

Personally i loved king kong, i was shattered after watching it, from the raw energy it had in the action scenes, my heart was beating so fast.

Yes, its flawed, but for me kong is the star and i just want to see him. Cant wait for the extended version later in the year.

It also had a far share of negative feedback from a lot of people, but now the dvd seems to be getting better reviews all over the place, do you think second time round people will like it more, as the huge hype from the first time round has gone.

    I truely found it laughable.
My only thoughts regarding a home release was there were one or two scenes with the monkey banging his chest and roaring that would give my subs a good workout.
    Really dreadful film imho.
The Proposition, now there's a film.

I thought the film was ok, but to be fair after LOTR I was probably a bit more optomistic than I should have been. I felt it was a bit rushed, and too dependant on CGI.
I will give this one a miss on DVD (which is rare as I buy alot), and hope that PJ does The Hobbitt to restore faith

Yeah i probabaly wont be getting this either, at least not yet anyway.

Actually saw it twice at the cinema and as enjoyable it was first time round it is just too overblown and drawn out for repeated veiwings IMO.

And Sorry to disagree with the poster a few up, but I didn't feel King Kong was the star. In fact I thought this was a fun adventure film, but as a remake it didnt work. I felt nothing for Kong and it dragged everytime he was onscreen.

Jackson said he would like to do an extended edition, but it's up to Universal. That said I've heard it's coming around November.

Not bad but not great either. Some of the actors seemed out of place and the scene were everyone is running through a narrow gorge chased by Dino was stupid. A better effect would have been 1 or 2 raptors chewing on the cast. To much CGI and not enough quality acting detracted from this movie..

However the blonde and the beast were good and the final scenes atop ESB were superb. :thumbsdow :thumbsdow :thumbsdow
