    FYI
Just smuggled a Velodyne CHT10 into the lounge and installed it behind the settee. She hasn't spotted it yet but then we were away for the weekend. Anyway, I'm enjoying my testicles while I still have them :)

    Trepidation or what.

    Dave

Intial brief listen was very impressive btw - thanks Eric

We constantly live in fear from our wives and it is amazing the amount of people who 'sneak things in' or ask retailers to 'doctor' receipts.

    Unbelivable.

I also have managed to smuggle 1 DVD player and a untold amounts of wires. Got caught with the Amp though.

    Sigh.

    You're welcome Dave.
And thats after just throwing it behind the settee. Take a little time fine tuning and the CHT-10 is a revelation. Its simply unbeatable at the price. In fact, at £325 there is nothing that comes even close. Enjoy.

"Your wife must be very shortsighted"

actually since the laser surgery she's got excellent vision :) - we've been away so she's not even been in the room yet - sofa is a fair sized L shaped thing and its down the side.

Setup - ah yes - had a brief look at the large, vs small vs cut-off freq vs amp vs internal cross-over discussion threads - none the wiser really. Amp is set to LFE to sub (good start) and all spks set to Big, er and thats as far as i got.

    Cheers

What speakers do you own - are they satelites or full range speakers such as floorstanders etc.

I havent heard mission speakers but I think I have heard that they lack weight in the bass area. Therefore a sub is well needed. And you have a good one.

There are two ways to play it really, you can set the speakers to large and have the sub only deal with the lowest of the low bass frequencies or you can set the speakers to small and have all the bass duties perfromed by the sub at a crossover point designated by you.

It really depends on how low the Missions go and whether you want the sub to kick in or just take over all the duties of bass etc.

Play my friend - just make sure that the windows shake and the mother in laws nasty gift on the mantlepeice falls off and smashes into 1000 peices.

    :)

    Hi

Try the Front Left & Right speakers set to LARGE, all others to SMALL and bass to both (LFE&MAIN). You´d need to set the crossover on the sub to around the lowest frequency your front speakers go down to e.g 50hz. Either that or all speakers set to SMALL, bass to SUB. Crossover on the sub set to maximum (or bypassed on the Velodyne).
