Off the top of my head, the House of Blue Leaves battle remains in full colour instead of changing to black and white, plus there are several noticable and more explicit additions to the scene.

Can't remember what else really, sure someone else will be along soon though.

Definitly the definitive version available at the moment though.

    Love it!!

ah right, thought the black and white scene was to add an effect to the movie rather than to cover the bloodshed, as it was comic blood anyway, not gruesome.

You can get the Premium LE Boxset of Kill Bill 2 HERE for £29.99 (or less with a voucher). It includes:

Uncut DVD - Widescreen version of Kill Bill: Volume 2
    A Kung Fu T-Shirt
    A "Love Bride" Bearbrick
    A Pai Mei Keyring
    10 Memorial Card Set
    24 Page Booklet

    Limited to 30,000 copies worldwide.

You'll have trouble getting the same boxset for Kill Bill 1 though. It sells for around £60 second hand and was also limited to 30,000 copies, so buying the above for £30 could also be a good investment

I bought this set from Play Asia.

    http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-ad-77-7-15-kill+bill-70-79y.html

Both are the full un-cut Japanese versions, with great picture and DTS sound quality.

NB: The price is sufficient to warrant import duty, etc. However, let's just say that Play Asia were very careful in their declaration, and I didn't have anything to pay ;)

On the subject of Kill Bill. Tarantino presented Kill Bill-The Whole Bloody Affiair at last years Cannes film festival which is Volumes 1 and 2 edited toghether as one film. Which was what was going to happen originaly. Does anyone know if he plans to release this on DVD?

Apparently this version is pretty close if not identical to the Japanese cuts of both film.

Could someone please clarify whether the uncut Japanese versions of the two volumes, contain English subtitles in the scenes where Japanese is spoken.
ie. In these scenes, do English subtites appear automatically, or do you have to switch English subtitles on, in the dvd menu?
    Killaherz, perhaps you could clarify?

    Cheers :smashin:

I've got the uncut vol 1, and you have to switch the subs on when needed. two parts I think.

Buy this disc. Seems a fantastic price and the fight is so much better.

check out the link to play asia in the thread. :hiya:

I thought that the uncut vol1 was hard to find that's all. Cost me about £15 from cdwow on release and haven't seen anywhere selling it since. :)

You have to switch the subtitles. Or leave them on, as I did - they are are pretty unobtrusive.

Plus, also note that the menu's of both films are in un-changeable Japanese. However, if you have a look at my post in the thread linked below, you will find some links to explanations and maps, as well as a Word-based map that I drew up.
