Must admit I can't wait for this....my most anticipated DVD of the year:D (aside from ROTK).

Is it me, or did Kill Bill have a bone-crunching soundtrack at the cinema?

"I was five & he was six, we rode on horses made of sticks. He wore black & I wore white, he would always win the fight...

Bang Bang, he shot me down, bang bang, I hit the ground, bang bang, that awful sound, bang bang, my baby shot me down..."

How I love the intimately deadening voice of Nancy Sinatra.

    You're right, it was a kick-ass soundtrack.

    [edit]

Oh, and the Dolby Digital Surround EX mix wasn't half bad either :D

    D'oh!

I am really looking forard to gettig this on DVD and now its effing agaes away! Still, at least we know when now!

What do reckon? Bare bones release for one & 2 followed by special edition twin pack and then ultimate single releases?

I am to impatient to wait for the special editions (if they will exist) but, I will probably buy them anyway as well as the bare bones.....yup....I am one of Hollywoods target mugs! :p

Very cool film tho! QT has done it again! :smashin:

Not having seen Kill Bill yet I did not know Nancy Sinatra also cut a version of Bang Bang.I assume this was a latter version of the song Sonny Bono wrote which Cher recorded in the mid 60's.

Why would you want to get the japanese version? It will be like Dances With wolves....repeatedly farting around with the subtitle button. No thanks....

Just wanted to know what the deal with getting Kill Bill Uncut - is the japanese version the only uncut version? As said above I'd rather not have to change subtitles while enjoying the action!

Press the button once when the anime starts and once when it stops. It's hardly what I would call a hassle.

Although I can't remember whether there was a lot of Japanese dialogue in the rest of the film. I don't think there was anyway (I can only think of one line:rolleyes: )

I'm going to hold out for the Kill Bill 1&2 boxset. I can't be arsed to buy it twice :(

I hope it's (relatively) soon though, I only have the screener and it's too big a file for vcd :(

I'm waiting for the boxset too. Tarantino has already stated that there will be a better edition in the near future.

The Sonny Chiba bit was in Japanese too.

Would it be just hitting the subs button or going through the menu though?

The cartoon scens will be in colour and you get extra scens as it is uncut. I dont know if I should go for region 1 or region 2 the jap version.

I seem to recall the anime was always in colour and the boardroom scene was translated anyway.

I'm still going to get the JPN boxset but I wasn't aware there was so much Japanese in it :( Never mind, it won't be too bad.

The R1/R2 will be under £10 within 6 months anyway, I might just pick one of those up if the JPN version is unwatchable.

He's one of the best directors/writers of his generation.

The worst Tarantino film to date is still inevitably going to be better than 90% of the rubbish that hollywood manages to churn out.

The Tarantino film I liked the least was Reservoir Dogs, with Jackie Brown remaining my firm favourite. Second is a toss up between this & pulp fiction.

'Natural Born Killers' is one of the worst films I have ever seen. Tarantino only wrote it, but it was abysmal.

'Reservoir Dogs' is superb, however. I didn't think a great deal of 'Pulp Fiction' though.

I find him hit and miss. He was and is superb in 'Alias' though. :)
