Kill bill orig and uncut verion time tests

hi tried both usa version and jap and here are the extra times

TEST 1
chapter 3
manga part Cut running time: 8min 12sec
Uncut running time: 8min 36sec
diffrence : 24 sec longer

TEST 2
I started timing from the B&W part in the club fight scene to the end of the B&W scene and the same start and end point in the colour verion

Cut running time: 3min 59sec
Uncut running time: 3min 42 sec
diffrence : 17sec longer

TEST 3
Now i started this from the Club fight when she gets her arm cut off all the way to the part at the end where she kills the last fighter where he falls into the water from the stairs

Cut running time: 16min 01sec
Uncut running time: 15min 33sec
diffrence : 28 sec longer

so there is extra in the B&W as well as the normal colour sences making it 28 sec longer hte extra is not just in the B&W scences

add test 1 and 3 times

so the total time i can add up comes to 52sec uncut version. but like i said there is a dvd version rel uncut now and I hope it forces the english subs in the jap talking parts of the film as all rel i have had you have to have subs on or off but no subs in the jap parts.

so this film has an extra 2 min in it but i can only find 52sec extra in all nearly 1 min so i dont know where the other extra min is maybe is in other parts of the film if anyone lets me know where thay think thay are i will try it out

hope this helps you all

Your post is confusing please clarify what you are saying.

You are saying that the uncut versions are shorter, I don't think this is your intention, or if it is be clear.

Do you mean to say that the B&W scenes have actually had cuts, which has previously been denied on these forums?

Are these both NTSC? Surely if you have both versions, you don't need to time them - can you not see the difference between the cut and uncut scenes?

grey torq sorry m8 i must have put the times the wroung way round hehehe

as i said i can only find 52 sec extra in the uncut version so far

both are ntsc

Simon6776 is somtimes hard to see the diffrences in films becasue in parts thay add a few sec here and there but i timed them to make sure

i watched the cut version when the picture go`s B&W i started the timmer and when it went back to colour i stoped the timer but i took note of the start and end picture so that i could start the timer in the uncut version at the same time.

but as i said from start to end in that B&W moments are 17 sec longer.

but i thoguht hang on there might be more in that club fight scene so i started the timmer from the woman getting her arm cut off all the way to the part where the last guard is killed on the stairs who fall into the water and guess what it was longer by 28sec so the B&W part had 17sec extra and the rest of the fight scene in colour in which both versions are had an extra 11sec add them both together you get 28sec extra footage from start to finish in the club fight scene.

i hope i explaned that hehe if not all you need to know is that its 28 sec longer in the club fight
and 24 sec longer in the manga part making it 52 sec longer that i can find so far but as everone knows there should be 2min extra

also i have the dvdr uncut version which the subs work meaning that thay are off untill the jap audio comes on and only then do the english subs kick in and its much better in colour to

oh the club fight is supposed to be in colour but the censors did not let him rel it this way. he tried to fight this but the only way he cloud leave it in was to turn it into B&W as i have read many people saying it was ment to be in B&W sorry it was not thay twisted his arm to do this so the uncut version is the version he wanted us to all see

sorry for the spelling and grammer but in a rush here ahhhhhhhhh

see ya all later

Thought that's what you meant, thank god I ordered the Jap version from Movietyme - good news about the subs as well.

Why not just time the film from the opening scenes to the credits rolling ?

Instead of trying to find the extra scenes in the film, why not install dvd decrypter on your computer, then set it to IFO mode and put in the Cut version and then the Uncut version as it will display exactly how long the 2 versions are, that way you can find out how much difference there really is between the 2 versions.

It can be really helpful if you punctuate your sentences properly and spell words correctly. This board has no restraints on message length, and readability is a big factor in getting your message across.

Hello

Which version of the film has the automatic subs (Jap, R1, Thai etc)??

Ajax.

The only Uncut DVDr release has been from the R2 Japanese version so if that has a subtitle track which only comes on when there is japanese dialog it is great news, just have to hope the same subtitle track is present on the R3 Thai release.

To Clarify:

R3 HK Version 110m34s [Not 113 mins as on the cover]
R2 Jap Version 111m39s [Not 113 Hrs as on the disc]

Anime scene Jap version 27s longer
HOBL scene Jap version 19s longer

Spoilers
The quote has been replaced by a dedication on the R2.
The bride does not do the blink on the R2.
2 or 3 of the bad guys still spray water in colour (Raging Bull homage?)
You see more in the boot of the car.
There appears to me many VERY minor extensions, lasting a couple of frames, throughout (ie The Ferrari blokes guts, the flying head) but this could be my imagination.

R3 Layer change triffers a slight pause (Just like it says on the box)
R2 I couldn't find the layer change.

Subs are not available just for the Japanese talking. But you can switch them 'on-the-fly'

Finally, the R3 comes with a cardboard cover and the R2 comes in a nice little PVC biker suit for the dvd case!

Is <4 mins in colour and 1 min extra gore and awkward subs worth the extra £17?

I can't answer that for you.

If you are an 'uncut whore' then yes.
If you are just a casual viewer, probably best get the R1/R2.
