Got "Kill Bill" R2 the other day (can't be arsed with this Far East DVD fiasco - will wait for the box set at the end of the year).

Stumbled on this by accident. In the subtiles options menu, only two are listed "English" and "English for Hearing Impaired", both of which remain on through out the movie. Hardly ideal I thought - still have to switch them on and off for the Japanese scenes. Not too pleased. However, when using the subtitle button on my remote, it revealed a 3rd English subtitle option not on the menu.

Select this at the start of the menu. and the subtitles only appear during the Japanese dialogue. Perhaps this feature may be hidden on the Japanese disc too?

The subtitles for the Japanese scenes came on automatically on my player with the UK R2.
