As per thread title...
Looks like the subtitles could be a problem as per R3 Kill Bill Vol 1. It sounds like it's only Chinese subs for non English speaking dialogue.
From CD WOW site:
There's far less subtitling in kill Bill 2 anyway!
It now says:
Subtitles: Chinese, English with Chinese (English subtitles for Chinese spoken parts)
Might be worth a try at that price.
Is this some kind of joke? It now says:
Subtitles: Chinese, English with Chinese (Non-English Dialogue with Chinese and English subtitles
Edit: I'm not sure about this - sounds like you get both English and Chinese subtitles at the same time? Would be a bit weird, but that's how the description is worded. I haven't had a region 3 disk before, hence confusion.
With a voucher, it's a pretty good price. Are there any cuts that mean there's a better version about?
As far as I am aware, all versions of KB2 are the same, i.e. no cuts.
It now says-
Subtitles (TBC): Chinese (Selectable), English (Burnt in on non-English scenes)
So this looks to be Ok then?
subtitles burnt on should be as the R1 or R2 versions- but then again it does say TBC
If you are comparing it to KB Vol 1, I would say you are wrong.
btw I recently got 'Taxi 3' where the French and English subtitles come on AT THE SAME TIME and IN THE SAME PLACE! Hopefully this will not be the case here.
Has anyone got theirs from CD-Wow yet?
What's the PQ like and how are the subtitles?
PQ and sound are as you'd expect. Subtitles are in English for non-English speaking dialogue (Mandarin I think) but you have to have Chinese subs on for this to work.As there is only one section with this and two lines near the end it isn't a promlem switching on and off at the correct places. A great bargain at only £6.49
Yep, arrived yesterday. Not had a chance to watch yet, but if no one beats me to it, I'll let you know about PQ and subtitles later.
PQ is fine, and subs work as said above.
a couple of things...
how did you get this for £6.49 Strangerer ?? and
has any-one noticed if the special feature of "Deleted scenes with Michael Jay White " is on one of the 2 discs ????
Didn't notice any Deleted Scenes
A £1.50 off Burton Link and £1 off voucher.
ahh, vouchers always handy , on the deleted scenes q.. just wondering as the R1/R2 have this a "special feature" ( probably not incoproated back into the movie ), just wondered if the R3 version would have this snippet as well somewhere..
I'll have to have another look. The R3 is actually a 2 disc, whereas the R1 / R2 are single discs (I think). I did have a look at the extras on the R3, and it seems to be mainly soundbites, but there is some B-Roll footage, which may be what you're referring to, but I haven't actually viewed the second disc yet.
