I have just bought the KeySonic 2.4Ghz Wireless Compact Keyboard with Integrated TouchPad and followed the instructions to establish the connection.

Since there are no LED's to check anything, I acknowledge that it has connected. But the mouse buttons are not working and when I type in MSWord it messes up everything (i.e. I type Return it types 3 Tabs, I type up it selects the text )

I might be doing something wrong. Has anyone come across this problem?

    Thanks

I've got the same keyboard. It acts funny if you press FN INSERT as that'll activate the numeric pad

Did you follow instructions on how to connect?

Yes, connecting it is very simple. I doubt I could be doing that wrong.

In mine it doesn't make a difference activating the numeric pad or not.

It works straight away even if I don't do the connection proccedure. Is that normal?

I have one I use with Vista Ultimate.

When first used, the pad did not work, but keyboard ok.

I knew it was a pc issue, so reimaged my pc with vanilla copy of Ultimate and plugged in the dongle - everything works lovely, and no need to use connection buttons etc.

Suggest you try using keyboard on another pc to verify if pc or keyboard issue.

Before I rebuilt my pc, it had a ton of apps, codecs and random rubbish, so I knew there was a conflict somewhere...
    Cheers

    Hello

I recently bought 2 of these (luckily) and had a similar problem with one of them. It worked for about a minute then stopped, then only the keyboard worked.

Thought it must be a PC problem but the other one worked perfectly, sent the bu**ered one back to be replaced. Just so you don't go re-installing for nothing.

Way to dig up an old thread here - but I just bought one of these things - most of the above fault symptoms - tried it with win7 and vista - started looking for drivers - mated it and remated it - did everything

Then I changed the batteries - the ones in the box were good till 2015 - put new copper tops in and ... perfectomundo - works really nicely

I am building my first htpc at the moment and have one of these keyboards. It seems to start up in numlock mode by default which is a bit a pain, does anyone know of away to prevent this?

I'll answer my self in case it helps anyone else. To stop this happening change the numlock setting in the bios to off on boot up. Sorted.

    I can't access the BIOS on boot - F2 & F12 are non-responsive - there is a brief "no keyboard detected"
black screen, Windows loads and I can 'click' my username when it appears.

Would appear my keyboard driver 'aint loaded quick enough in the sequence
    - I can always attach my spare USB keyboard when I need access :)

    Homer:)

If you push the little button on the usb drive then Fn + C. That should do it, according to the instructions anyway!

Mine is connected fine but I can't get the touchpad to work. Getting really annoying now!

Thank you very, very much jamsam2000. In a moment of fluoride induced mindlessness I was trying to connect something unrelated and pressed my keyboard dongle button, thereby disconnecting it.
all is now well and you are a bloody hero!
