Keyboard for Garageband

Well-known Member
I am wanting to start learning piano, and before forking out for lessons I would like to buy a keyboard to use with the garageband lessons.

I think full size would be best, are there any recommendations?

Not wanting to spend a fortune (maybe £100, £150 at a push), and dont mind second hand.

Unfortunately there's no chance of buying anything full size and new at that price. You'd be looking at a second hand Yamaha, Casio (with Midi) or similar but even then you'll probably still have to up the budget.

The only alternative is the Yamaha NP30 76 key stage piano which costs around £250 new. You might find a used one for £150? Or if the budget is really strict you could pick up a second hand 76 or 61 key midi controller. Also don't forget that none of these kind of keyboards will have a proper weighted action like a real piano.
