I am looking for a power lead for my projector (Infocus). It has what I refer to as a 3 pin kettle connector on it. This is the same as used on most monitors, pc's and some av separates. Does anyone know the correct name for these or even better where I can buy an 8m or 10m one with a 3 pin plug the other end or one that I can connect my own cable to?

What you are looking for is called an IEC socket, unfortunately I've not seen one on a lead that long. DIY will probably be your only route unless someone else knows another source.

As has been said, it's an IEC 320 connector and DIY is about your only option. It's not as daunting as it sounds, it just involves wiring a plug and the IEC connector is easier to do than the wall plug!
