The tape drive on my Kenwood HM-535 cuts out after only a couple of seconds on 'play'. It will run the full length of a tape on fast fwd or reverse. The 'stop' mechanism appears to be operated by a solenoid coil. Does anyone know what triggers the energising of the coil?
