Which one should I go for?

    I need to control:

    Panasonic TH-42px600
    Sky HD - through HDMI
    TVonics PVR - through Scart
    Xbox 360 - through VGA
    Old Yamaha amp
    Old Marantz CD player

    Many thanks in advance

I've had a couple of the older Kameleon remotes and found the following:

The battery life was awful (although one was rechargable)
You end up assigning functions to buttons that aren't the same name and then forgetting what was where.
The display is hard to see in sunlight.
As there are no buttons you have to look where you're pressing a lot more.
It was a pain to upgrade for newer equipment.
There's a buzzing noise when it's lit up

They may have improved some of these points on the more recent models.

    I've now got a Harmony 555 and I think it's much better:
    good battery life
non standard functions are assigned to the LCD screen with a decent name
The activities functionality works very well. When I got it I thought this was a gimmic I wouldn't use.
Upgrading via the software is very comprehensive (but this means there is a lot of tweaking).

Overall I would go with the Harmony - it doesn't look as flash and it is a bit plasticy but it does everything I want it to and I know when I upgrade my kit it will control whatever I get next.
