I'm interested in buying the Kef XQ5 mains but the matching centre (XQ2C) is too big to fit in my AV rack, where the centre speaker needs to go.

Does anyone know if the centre speakers from the regular Q series, the Q6c and the Q9c, are timbre matched to the XQ series? I know they all feature uni-Q drivers. Does this mean I can mix and match?

I think the XQ and Q series use the same tweeter and mid in the UniQ's.

Can't see any reason why the Q9c won't work nicely with the XQ5's.
