It's a powerful sub, but not a very deep one. Frequency response falls at 30-35Hz.
It was part of the KEF THX speaker package, and retailed for £800 when new in 2000.

However, it always was the weak link in an otherwise excellent speaker package, with better subwoofers available for less money.

It was also known to have poor quality cabinets that 'farted' when the volume was pushed a bit.

I have the KEF THX package and used to have 2 x 45B Subwoofers. But I sold them both for a single SVS PC Ultra and never looked back.

I reckon £200 tops for one in good condition these days.

lol he's trying to pull a fast one. Compared to newer subs that Kef THX is miles behind. And with Kef PSU record I wouldn't touch the thing. I think it was £800 new. Not that I would buy one, but wouldn't pay more than £150.
