has anyone experienced a problem with kef subs. ive got the 5.1 eggs and have already had my sub replaced once, as it died an it has now done the same thing again. i bought them last august, and had one replaced i think around jan. im not impressed to say the least. its still all lit up on the back and seems powered but there is no sound coming out of it at all.

It will be the amplifier module that has gone. It is quite a common problem of the Kef subs although a lot less so than the Sub with the Mk1 eggs. Take it into your dealer and they'll arrange for Kef to send them a replacement amp module which they will fit to the sub for you. I believe the new amp modules are a lot more reliable than the earlier ones, that last time I changed one over I noticed a few changes to the internal components
