They're good, and possibly depending on your requirements, budget, etc.
If you give us more details we can give you a better answer..

i have 250 300 to spend at min stuck between satelite 5.1 system or go for bigger seperates seen some good offers on wharfedale and q acoustics speakers but the main sub seems to be the most exspensive seperate unless you get a package what would be good for just movies
what would be good for both movies and music
would i be better geting older equipment for money
running yamaha v671 amp so these options are below par for amp but im not that rich yet but need a half decent setup till more funds avalible

I've got a bit of experience with the Kef eggs. Currently on my fourth different version.

2005.2's are good for movies but okay for music. If you can stretch your budget, aim for the 2005.3. Different design tweeter and far superior sounding. Dialogue cleaner and clearer and pretty good for music and Kube 2 sub is pretty strong as well.

Obvious limitations with music due to egg design, but unless you pump dance tunes at max all the time the eggs will serve you well.
