Help Please. I need feedback on these speakers. I am about to buy a demo pair, have auditioned them already , they are in tip top condition. My probelm is the match with a center speaker for HT purposes. Recommended for me was the new KEF Q 9 C
    Any comments help??

    Is it a Ref 1 or a Ref 1-2?

The Ref 1 is old now but still a creditable performer. The 1-2 is a great speaker that is just being phased out, hence some good deals on it. I think I was offered a new pair for £750 a while back in black.

at least that's what they wll call it here - it's due in this country next week. There is such a lot of expertise/knowl out there, here's another - how will the KEF Ref 1's perform in AV role. With it's bass driver in this box firing downwards I mean. I have a sub.. albeit lightweight at the moment ( us AV types always say "at the moment")
    Rgds

PS: I am investigating ref 100 with dealer - I hope they can find stock

Nic - was that a new pair of Ref 1-2s for £750? If so, please try to remember who was offering them at this price. I'd love to know.

    Cheers.
