Just looking for opinions on using the Kef R100s for surrounds and front left and right. Centre will be an R200 with a SVS SB13 Ultra taking care of the base.

    Thanks

You will enjoy them. Great soundstage, quick and detailed. The R200C is very good with dialogue. With the grills off they are a very handsome speaker.

I've used the SB13 Ultra with R Series before and it works well, quite similar in a lot of respects - clean and controlled (when properly set up, of course).

In theory, this is one of the best speakers to use for a multi-channel system - point source. All frequencies coming from a single point, which aids effects placement and imaging.

Just don't skimp on the amp to drive the R100s. They do respond to good quality amplification, as all good speakers will, and how they ultimately sound will depend how well you drive them.
