Kef Q Compacts

Hi All,

New to this forum all the way from Canada! I recently aquired some Kef Q7's and a Kef Q9c. I was truly amazed by the soundstage of these speakers. My room is 15ftx24ft.

I had B&W 601s, LCR60 and some LM1 (rears).

I decided to change the rears to Q Compacts and mounted them on the rear wall in the corners. For multi-channel music they sound great (timbre matching) but I seem to have lost something in the surround dept.

Anyone have any comments or solutions for this?

Has anyone wall mounted these speakers in a 5.1 situation before?

I also found the compacts lacking, and swapped to the Q1's.

I have 2 Q compacts but I have a 7.1 system. (6.1 split rears into 2)
I have no faults with this but not tried them as 5.1 rears either. As Wannabe-THX says get 2 Q1's and keep the compacts for the center rear.
