In the New year I am going to buy a pair of floorstanding speaker up to £900. I have listened to B&W 603 and Kef Q7. I like the Kef's alot but was wondering if there is any other speakers I should be looking at. Or has any one got the Kef's Q7 and what do they think of them.

See below i bought these after trying several others and am very happy with them. Take a while to bed in ( base slighty woolly) but now sound nice and tight.

You could do a lot worse.

    cheers

Mine sound great and look fantastic. I'm still running them in and I've been told they need a powerful amp to drive them well, but my AX5i seems to do a great job. I'm playing with DVD audio at the moment and they still sound good so far. See my sig below for what I've got and my avatar.

    Have a proper Chrimbo!

I was told to that you need a powerful amp to drive them. But I hope my Denon 3803 would be O.K.
It is just a pain that you can't get them delived:thumbsdow

Did any of you compare them to the Wharfedale Evo 30's?

I've got these at home on trial now but find them a bit too bassy and there's a lot of booming.

How do the Q7's compare? Is the mid and treble clear?
Presumably they're very easy to drive too (with an AX5) having 91dB sensitivity?
