    Hey

Just got a new onkyo TX-SR603 with a kef psw2500 sub, the sub came with two phono type connectors to which i have attached to a speaker cable this plugs into the pre out sub socket on the amp and into the left in on the sub.

I have a 5:1 speaker setup and the onkyo comes with a mic so i used the auto setup to configure the speakers, during the test tones the sub gave a quiet rumble but the nothing compared to the sound coming from the speakers, this was with the gain on max, tried various settings on the cross over.

I've even tried turning up the sub channel on the sub but still not really getting much from the sub...

Im going to buy a proper sub cable today to see if that makes a difference, any other ideas would be greatly appreciated!

    Cheers

    mike
