Can anyone advise whether the Kef PSW 2500 I have seen is a good buy at £200 for an ex-display model. And is this going to add significantly to the sound from my Accoustic Energy speakers which I have had for some years - I beleive the mains are AE120's, they have 3 speakers. Is it sensible to mix makes? Sorry about dumb questions.

    well torkyman,
i've got the psw 3000 which admititly is my first sub but i'm well happy with it,well made, not overly big,300 watts and remote control £300 new incl.delivery from http://www.superfi.co.uk
also i've just had a quick look on their site and they've a acoustic energy aegis evo sub in various finishes £159.95 which seems a good deal to me.
dont know much about the sub it'self but the aegis speaker package (incl. sub) has always had good reviews plus comestically it might match your set up better.
also for what its worth i think £200 for the ex display is a little bit over the odds

Yes, the Kef subwoofer is a good unit, will blend in with pretty much any speakers and has a reasonable amount of grunt for small to medium sized rooms. As for the price, well it depends on the condition of the unit, if it's pretty much mint condition with all original packaging then £200 sounds about right. Give the dealer a call, I'm sure he'd be happy to sort you out a deal on a subwoofer lead or other accessories.

Hello guys, sorry for offtopic. I am looking for a reliable KEF service, my PSW2500 sub started making popping sound and died yesterday. The quote I received from KEF Tech support is £118! Please advise where to go in Bristol.

Cross posting is considered a bit naughty even for the owner of a suicidal :suicide: KEF subwoofer. :nono:

Though you certainly have our sympathies.
