Hi all,

I've just been given a KEF PSW 2000 subwoofer. I've connected it, but there is no sound coming out. The power light is red when I switch it on, then when I switch on my amp (Sony Multi Channel AV Receiver STR-DH510) the power light on the KEF goes to green.

I've run the test mode on the amp to get the SHHHHHHHH sound out of each speaker in turn - left and right are fine but nothing from the subwoofer. I've found another little sort of subwoofer in the garage and plugged that in instead of the KEF and I do get the test signal out of that, so I'm happy that the amp is configured ok.

I've using one male-to-male RCA cable to run from the amp's subwoofer output into the KEF. It's a bit of a guess where to stick it, so I've used the "LINE IN LEFT" socket on the KEF.

My brother-in-law who gave it to me reports it as working last time he used it. He had the speaker wires running through the speaker in/out ports though, but also thinks he had it working with an RCA cable.

Any ideas?
