re-post without dreadful speeling mistakes :)

4 questions about the KEF KHT2005. Advice please?

    1)

There seems to be two applicable ways to set these up for me (According to the manual).
    a) one RCA wire going from the amp to the sub.
    b) one RCA going from amp to the sub AND then a short wire going from "left bass out" to "right bass in" on the back of the sub.

Whats the difference? Is one better?

    2)

Never owned a sub before so I dont know what the extra kobs do? There are three a) Volume b) Cross c) Phase? (I think that is correct off the top of my head).

What do the last two knobs do?
What settings do I need on them for this system?

    3)

My Sony STR amp has lots of subwoofer settings which I also dont really understand. Any recommendations? There is an "LFE mix" which goes into minuses "-" and a d range comnpression featre etc.

    Any advice?

    4)

Finally are there any good speaker stands to go with this series of speakers? I have heard that there are stands for the HTS2001's but havent seen them. Any idea of size, look etc?

First the receiver, set sub = yes, all speakers to small, crossover to 120 (if you can choose), connect the Sub out to the line in of the subwoofer by RCA...

Subwwofer, set the crossover on maximum = 120, play a CD with lots of bass and adjust the volume as you like, then the phase should be ok, but try both positions and stick to the loudest...

If you have a look at thread 156806 (sorry tried to copy a link to this but failed miserably - I searched for "Kef" & "stands") you will see a photo attachment of the Kef stands for the KHT 2000 range - The poster of that thread advised he paid about £60 a pair for his but that obviously depends on which trader U buy from ...
Hope that helps ... Paul ;)
